THEATRST 348S

The course explores collective creation through diverse lineages of devised performance and physical acting toward original work. Tracing both historical and contemporary methods, collectives, and practitioners devising across space, time, body, object, media, and written texts, student will creatively wildcraft various materials in psychogeographic wanderings; audio-visual interviews; excavating personal histories, poetry, music, etc. Collaborating through a series of embodied research labs, students will dramaturgically weave their creative research into an original work-in-progress, sharing both individual and ensemble fragments with an invited audience in a final performance.
